Initially on a fixed term contract with potential of becoming permanent the role of Junior Logistics Analyst is responsible for analyzing processes within our organization working closely with managers across a number of different divisions to establish benchmarks, improve processes and provide better metrics for the commercial division to assist in pricing modules.
The ideal candidate will hold tertiary qualifications in a related discipline such as commerce, engineering or mathematics and relevant experience within a professional logistics environment. You will be self-managed solutions orientated and committed to process improvement with the desire to exceed expectations. Your attitude could take you far in this role.
The key responsibilities for this positions include:
- Assisting in identifying logistic areas for process improvement and cost savings
- Collaborate with internal parties to improve efficiency, productivity and processes
- Assist in providing reports to management on inventory, distribution and performance
- Prepare statistical data for contract negotiations and assisting in negotiations as required
Attributes required:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Statistical Analysis skills
- Able to work independently
- Sound communication and presentation skills
- Report writing skills
- Time Management Skills
Qualifications not required but advantageous include:
- Experience in implementation of LEAN process or World Class similar benchmarking
- Qualifications in Time & Motion analysis or Process Modelling
